She later studied at Harvard University’s American Repertory Theater and attended McGill University from 1989 to 1993, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1993. Gilsig first met Bobby Salomon when both were Montreal high school students. The pair wed on January 1, 2005. As Salomon is Jewish and Gilsig is Jewish on her father’s side, the couple had a traditional Jewish wedding.
